About the Presenters
- Dr. Yubrine Moraa Gachemb : Dr. Gachemba is a Consultant Cardiologist and Chief Cardiologist at PrimeCare Heart Clinic. She has advanced expertise in multimodality cardiac imaging, women’s cardiovascular health, and pregnancy-related heart disease. Trained within the UK NHS system and currently based in Nairobi, Kenya, she leads imaging-guided multidisciplinary care in cardio-obstetrics, cardiomyopathy, and structural heart disease. She serves as an Executive Committee Member of the Kenya Cardiac Society and is actively involved in Africa-focused research and registries aimed at improving cardiovascular outcomes in women, with a strong emphasis on Pregnancy Heart Team models and context-appropriate implementation of international guidelines.
- Dr. David Ndungori: Dr. Ndungori is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist and a Subspecialist in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM). He is currently based in West Pokot and serves patients across the North Rift and Western regions of Kenya. He is deeply passionate about multidisciplinary approaches to managing obstetric patients with cardiological conditions. Moderator Dr. Saara Yunus Mubarak Dr. Mubarak is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist based at Likoni Sub-County Hospital, Mombasa County. She has a strong interest in cardiac diseases in pregnancy and maternal cardiovascular health.
