That’s why\, every year on 28th September\, the Kenya Cardiac Society (KCS) proudly joins the global community in commemorating World Heart Day—a worldwide initiative led by the World Heart Federation to raise awareness about heart health and promote heart-friendly lifestyles. \nOur Annual Participation \nIn Kenya\, KCS partners with a wide network of stakeholders to coordinate impactful activities across the country. These include: \n\nMinistry of Health (MoH) – National and County levels\nHospitals & healthcare professionals\nPatient associations\nMedical professional bodies (e.g.\, Kenya Medical Association)\n\nKey Activities Include: \n\n⚽ “Healthy Heart Football Tournament” – A fun\, engaging tournament organized in partnership with Kenya Medical Association (KMA) to promote physical activity\n🖥️ Public Awareness Webinars – Conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and other key partners\n📢 Media Campaigns – Week-long awareness drives on TV\, radio\, and social media to:\n\nEducate the public on heart disease and stroke prevention\nPromote healthy diets\, regular exercise\, and tobacco control\n\n\n🩺 Free Cardiovascular Screenings & Consultations – Conducted in hospitals and public spaces\n🚶 Community Engagement – Including awareness walks\, health caravans\, and outreach clinics\n\nGet Involved \nWe invite you to join us in making every heartbeat count.
