1. THE LIPID REGISTRY FOR AFRICA- FOCUS ON THE KENYAN POPULATION
The "Lipid Registry of Africa" (LIPRA) study aims to identify and understand the risk factor profiles of African patients with premature acute coronary syndrome (ACS) to aid in the formulation of relevant clinical guidelines. The study will involve 924 patients across 6 sites in Kenya for 24 months
2. THE PERIPHERAL ARTERY DISEASE EPIDEMIOLOGIC STUDY
This study aims to determine the prevalence, risk factors, clinical manifestations and treatment of PAD across Kenya and to evaluate the utility of ABI in diagnosing PAD in resource- limited settings. Alongside, the study will also assess the level of awareness of PAD in the study population. The findings will inform tailored interventions for early detection, management, and prevention of this disease. The study will involve a sample size of 2500 across 6 sites in Kenya over a period of 7 months
